Happily, to mark the special occasion, The Sheriff received its 30th review on Amazon. I hit 30 myself next month but I was glad The Sheriff got there first!
The past two years have flown by. The publication of The Sheriff was when I first started regarding myself as an author. I have since published a short story collection, another fantasy novel and seen the release of our collaborative novel Circ. It has been exhausting but awesome.
So what else have I been doing?
Well, I read three novels by fellow self-published authors: The Realt by James Brogden, Up In Smoke by AA Abbott and Beelzebelle by Heide Goody and Iain Grant. I am slowly working my way through the reviews because it is important to help other writers.
I have also written a new short story called Error 404. This one features a robot being chased through Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo. It is violent, messy and very fishy. I hope to hear the Birmingham Writers' Group's feedback next Wednesday.
The story will eventually feature in my next short story collection. Breadcrumbs 2?
