It involved fourteen authors writing two stories in relay between 9am and 4pm. We had two laptops so seven of the authors wrote a fantasy story, whilst the other seven wrote some contemporary fiction set at the German Christmas Market. We swapped writers every hour. For added fun, we projected the laptop screen onto the ceiling, so the Library visitors could watch the story be written in real time!
On the fantasy laptop were Garrie Fletcher, Adrian Middleton, Jason Holloway, Bernadette O'Dwyer, Luke Beddows, Chris Garghan and Mike Chinn. On the contemporary laptop were Andy Killeen, Louise Palfreyman, Danni Bentley, Giselle Thomson, William Thirsk-Gaskell, AA Abbott and myself.
Like the Ten To One project, this was another collaborative writing experiment and the results were much better than expected. They may be published as a free e-book in the nearer future.
In the meantime, you can view a series of snaps below. You will notice that we sold a few more copies of Circ whilst the writing was underway!
